Machine Shop
As a leading aerospace engineering and aerospace manufacturing services provider, CHI operates a number of CNC mills, routers and Lathes. Utilizing native UG and Catia files, CHI conducts in-house CNC programming for 3, 5, and 6 axis machining. Our largest CNC mill a Fidia K-414 is capable of holding tolerances better than 4 microns across the entire 170" length.
This mill fitted with a rotary table is capable of achieving very high tolerance continuous 6 axis machining. Our aerospace engineering machine shop is also equipped with a large 5 axis router that is used to shape nomex and foam cores, and is used for final machining of some products. A number of smaller CNC mills are used to produce inserts, hardware and final machining on many of our components.
