Directions for use
Testing:
CARE-MOLD 800 can be cast into a variety of types of tool, aluminium, steel, fibreglass, or plaster all work well. Shrinkage is minimal so molds can be made net size. Tools should be sealed and released prior to use. Standard motor oil as a release agent is recommended.
Mixing
Weigh 40 parts water to 100 parts of CARE-MOLD 800 dry powder. Add powder to water while mixing. Blenders tend to work best. Continue mixing for 30 seconds after all powder is added to ensure complete mixing.
Cure
Let cast stand for 45 mins after mixing. Remove mandrel and free stand post, cure to the final, use temp or 450°F min for 4 hours.
Sealing
Mandrels can be sealed with PVA or PVC, or masked using tape.
Wash-out
CARE-MOLD 800 dissolves in room temperature water. Pressure helps the removal process. Do not let sit for extended periods as CARE-MOLD 800 will re-harden.
